Fiancé(e) Visa (K-1 Visa) – Bring Your Partner to the U.S.
The K-1 Fiancé(e) Visa allows a U.S. citizen to bring their foreign fiancé(e) to the United States for the purpose of getting married.
Once the fiancé(e) arrives, the couple must marry within 90 days, after which the foreign spouse can apply for a Green Card (permanent residency).
Who Qualifies for a K-1 Visa?
✅ The petitioner must be a U.S. citizen (Green Card holders do not qualify).
✅ Both partners must be legally free to marry (single, divorced, or widowed).
✅ The couple must have met in person within the last two years (some exceptions apply).
✅ The relationship must be genuine and in good faith.
